MGN15H
MGN7H linear carriage for MGN7 rail, with recirculating balls and four top threads for attaching a moving plate, tool or platform. It uses the long format with a larger support footprint and wider longitudinal screw spacing.
This carriage belongs to the same guide family used in our HPRO printers. It provides smooth motion and robust construction for 3D printers, light-duty CNC, automation and compact mechanisms when installed on a clean, lubricated and correctly aligned rail.
Nominal MGN7H dimensions
| Feature | Nominal dimension |
|---|---|
| Compatible rail | MGN7 |
| Block type | H long |
| Overall height H | 8 mm |
| Width W | 17 mm |
| Length L | 30.8 mm |
| Transverse spacing B | 12 mm |
| Longitudinal spacing C | 13 mm |
| Top threads | 4 × M2; nominal depth 2.5 mm |
These are nominal MGN geometry dimensions. When replacing a block in an already machined part, physically check height, length, threads and spacing before final assembly. No load rating or preload is stated because those values depend on manufacture and are not certified for this generic reference.
Compatibility and C/H selection
It is compatible with our MGN7 rail. C and H blocks of the same size use the same rail section, but their occupied length and longitudinal mounting spacing differ. If you need a shorter occupied length, see the MGN7C carriage.
It cannot run on another MGN size. A third-party MGN7 rail may be geometrically close, but the shared designation alone does not guarantee fit, preload or smoothness; test it without load before integration.
Plastic-part colour
Current production uses black end caps and plastic parts. A small quantity of earlier stock with green or red parts from the same factory may still be supplied. Colour is cosmetic, does not change the model and is not selectable.
Transfer and installation without losing balls
- Clean the rail end and remove burrs that could damage the seals.
- Align insert and rail without a step; do not force or tilt the block.
- Slide the carriage slowly onto the rail without exposing the internal raceways.
- Use correctly sized mounting screws: a screw that bottoms in a shallow thread may damage the block.
- Move the axis by hand and correct alignment before powering the motor.
Lubrication and maintenance
Check lubrication before first use. If protective oil is cleaned away, apply a small amount of light lithium-soap grease or a plastic-compatible linear-guide lubricant. Move the block several times to distribute it and remove external excess.
Keep abrasive dust, swarf and filament debris away. Do not use solid-particle lubricants, loosen the end-cap screws or expose plastic parts to prolonged solvent cleaning. There is no universal service interval: inspect and relubricate according to travel, speed, load and environment.
This is for you if
- You need a MGN7H carriage for our MGN7 rail.
- You want a long block for a 3D printer, light CNC machine or precision mechanism.
- You can correctly install, align and maintain the linear system.
This is not for you if
- Your design needs another rail section, height or the C mounting pattern.
- You require a certified preload, accuracy class or load capacity.
- The end-cap colour must be a specific shade.
Package contents
Supplied as one MGN7H carriage. Rail, screws and other axis components are sold separately.
