One hour of specialised 3D-printing technical support
This service provides one hour of work by an HTA3D technician for diagnostics, repair, maintenance, configuration, advice or consulting related to FFF/FDM 3D printing. Before purchasing, complete the form on this page so we can review the case, confirm that we can assist and agree on the appropriate format.
We primarily work with HTA3D printers, custom machines and previously approved third-party models. Purchasing one hour reserves technical time, but does not by itself guarantee that a fault can be repaired, that a replacement part exists or that a complete project fits within that time.
Work that may be covered
- Fault diagnosis: mechanical, electronic, thermal, extrusion, motion, calibration or print-quality problems.
- Repair and maintenance: HTA3D printers, custom equipment and other models that we have agreed to support in advance.
- Configuration and upgrades: component assessment, calibration, preventive maintenance and planning compatible upgrades.
- Firmware: configuration review or assistance with Marlin, Klipper, RepRapFirmware or another environment where the board and project are sufficiently documented.
- Slicing and G-code: preparation or review of profiles and files for a known machine, firmware, material and geometry.
- Business consulting: technology selection, 3D-printing implementation, process improvement, training and initial project assessment.
Service formats and use of each hour
| Format | Limit per purchased hour | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| In person | One appointment | Inspection, physical intervention, measurements or training. |
| Telephone or video call | Up to two appointments | May be split, for example, into 20 + 40 minutes to check changes. |
| Up to three written replies | Review of information, instructions and written follow-up. |
The format, availability, location of an in-person appointment and allocation of time are confirmed during assessment. If the work requires more than one hour, we may suggest additional units or prepare a specific quotation.
Information to send us
A well-documented request makes better use of the purchased time. Where relevant, include:
- Your objective, the observed problem and the result you expect.
- The exact printer make, model and revision.
- Board, display, drivers, sensors, hotend, extruder and installed modifications.
- Firmware and version, together with the current configuration where related to the problem.
- Photographs, videos, error messages, logs and tests already performed.
- Slicer, material, nozzle, profile and project file for print-quality or G-code work.
Do not send passwords, API keys, Wi-Fi credentials or other secrets. Remove personal or confidential information that is unnecessary for resolving the request.
How it works
- Complete the form on this page and describe the case in as much detail as possible.
- We assess the request. We will normally reply within an estimated two working days to confirm feasibility, request information or suggest the next step.
- Purchase the agreed time once we have confirmed the scope. Keep your order number.
- We provide the service in the agreed format and schedule, recording the technical time used.
- We document the next steps where the work requires tests, replacement parts or a later phase.
Scope and costs not automatically included
- Replacement parts, consumables, shipping, travel, licences and third-party services are not included unless the proposal states otherwise.
- Non-HTA3D models require prior approval; sharing an architecture or component does not guarantee that we can support them.
- Remote diagnosis may be insufficient when physical measurements, access to the machine or electrical work are required.
- Work involving mains voltage or regulated activities must be completed by qualified people using appropriate safety measures.
- Before changing firmware, profiles or configurations, keep a backup whenever possible.
G-code safety
G-code can command movement, heating and output activation. It is tied to the dimensions, origin, thermal limits, firmware and accessories of a specific machine. Do not use G-code prepared or reviewed for another printer without a new check. File preparation also requires the material, nozzle, build surface and geometry to be known.

It is for you if
You need technical time for a specific problem, want to validate an upgrade before buying components or require professional support to introduce 3D printing into a project or business.
It is not for you if
Do not purchase yet if we have not accepted the case, you need an urgent intervention without an appointment, you expect a guaranteed repair without diagnosis or the work requires complete manufacturing, modelling or product development. In these cases, use the form first so we can direct you to the appropriate service.
