Manufacturer and specialist
HTA3D grew from hands-on work with 3D printers: building, modifying, using and improving them. Today we bring together our own manufacturing, product selection and technical services for individuals, businesses and technology centres.
We develop printers around real applications. The HPRO range brings together the evolution of our equipment and the experience gained from building and using machines.
Different formats and configurations help you consider the right option for your project.

Our own engineering / HPRO
Developing a printer means thinking about the whole system: motion, extrusion, electronics and configuration. Our experience lies in connecting those decisions with how the machine will be used.
Practical experience
Manufacturing, product selection and technical advice share the same foundation: understanding the requirements and explaining the decisions. This connects the different areas of our work.
The part, material, build size and intended use define the starting point. Different requirements call for different configurations.
We consider mechanics, electronics and extrusion in relation to the project, taking each component’s requirements into account.
Building our own equipment and working with 3D printing connects development with practical use and maintenance.
Published documentation and configurations provide useful resources as the HPRO project evolves.
Shared knowledge
Our roots are in RepRap and an approach to technology that encourages learning, maintenance and improvement. That foundation is still part of HPRO.

From our first kits to HPRO, every stage adds experience. Archive images show where we started; new development points to what comes next.
We began trading professionally on eBay, supplying spare parts and sets to make DIY printer assembly easier.
We introduced our version of P3Steel, with our own changes to the frame and extrusion system.
We expanded our premises and continued developing 3DSteel, the HTA3D V2 extruder and our technical catalogue.
During the pandemic, we supported initiatives such as Coronavirus Makers and contributed materials and protective equipment.
A new generation of our printer, drawing on advances in 3D printing electronics and software.
We expanded our technical consultancy and custom development work for professional projects.
Experience from manufacturing and our printing service came together in our assembled HPRO range.
We developed the 400 mm model and further improvements and options, including the hybrid motion system.

We are working on a 500 × 500 mm HPRO with a four-motor Z axis. We expect to publish it on our website towards the end of 2026.
