Mechanical Lubricating Oil with Applicator – 50 ml

Lubricating oil supplied in a 50 ml bottle for maintaining small mechanisms, smooth shafts, guides and metal bearings. The bottle has a narrow nozzle for controlled application on 3D printers, CNC machines, plotters and other motion systems.

The oil composition, viscosity, temperature range and chemical compatibility are not specified. It should therefore not be considered equivalent to a particular machine manufacturer's recommended lubricant unless its requirements have been checked beforehand.

Compatible applications

It can be used on steel smooth shafts, guides, slide rails and metal linear bearings when the equipment's maintenance procedure allows an oil with equivalent characteristics.

It may be conditionally applied to mechanisms using components such as the LM8UU linear bearing, the LM10UU linear bearing or the 8 mm calibrated smooth shaft. Mechanical compatibility alone does not confirm that this is the correct lubricant.

These components are found in many Prusa i3-derived printers, Anet A8 machines and other RepRap designs, as well as plotters and CNC 1610, 2418 or 3018 machines. Different revisions, bearing types and materials exist, so the maintenance instructions for each machine must be checked.

Compatibility with specific machines

• On Bambu Lab X1 and P1 printers, oil and grease must not be applied to the X-axis carbon rods.
• Bambu Lab A1 and A1 Mini maintenance procedures include lubrication of certain guides, but the product must meet the manufacturer's specifications. This generic oil has not been verified as equivalent to the official lubricant.
• For Original Prusa MK4/S and MK3.9/S printers, follow the manufacturer's instructions and do not apply lubricant to the trapezoidal nuts or threaded Z-axis lead screws.
• On printers using wheels running on V-Slot profiles, including many Creality Ender-3 and CR-10 machines, do not apply oil to the wheels, profiles or running surfaces.

Applications to avoid or verify

• Do not apply it to belts, timing pulleys or surfaces that rely on friction.
• Do not apply it to carbon-fibre rods.
• Do not apply it to V-wheels or V-Slot profiles.
• Do not use it on self-lubricating polymer bearings, such as Igus DryLin equivalents, unless explicitly approved by the manufacturer.
• Linear rails, sealed bearings and preloaded bushings may require a specific lubricant.
• Keep it away from print surfaces, filament, extruder gears and areas close to the nozzle.
• Do not apply it to motors, sealed fans, connectors or electrical components.

Oil or grease

Oil spreads easily and is suitable for light applications, but it can migrate and may require more frequent reapplication. Lead screws and other loaded mechanisms may require a more persistent grease, such as the 10 g lubricating grease. Confirm that the machine manufacturer recommends greasing the component before application.

For occasional maintenance or when a smaller quantity is required, a 10 ml lubricating oil is also available.

Application instructions

• Switch off and disconnect the machine before performing maintenance.
• Remove dust and residue from the previous lubricant.
• Apply a small and even quantity.
• Move the mechanism manually to distribute the oil.
• Remove any excess with a clean cloth to prevent dust and debris build-up.
• Do not mix different lubricants when their composition or compatibility is unknown.

Application frequency depends on the machine design, operating hours and environment. Always follow the maintenance schedule provided by the manufacturer.
