626ZZ shielded ball bearing – 6 × 19 × 6 mm

The 626ZZ is a deep-groove radial ball bearing with nominal dimensions of 6 × 19 × 6 mm and metal shields on both sides. It is used in 3D printers, CNC machines, extruders, rollers, wheels, guide pulleys, small motors and other rotating mechanisms.

What does ZZ mean?

The ZZ suffix, also written as 2Z, indicates that the bearing has metal shields on both sides. These shields help retain lubricant and limit moderate contamination without producing the same contact as rubber seals.

Metal shields do not make the bearing watertight. Additional protection or a different seal type may be required in mechanisms exposed to water, fine dust, swarf or heavy contamination.

Compatibility

Compatibility must be checked using its three main dimensions: 6 mm inner diameter, 19 mm outer diameter and 6 mm width. Matching only the shaft diameter does not guarantee that the bearing will fit the existing housing.

This bearing is intended primarily for rotation and radial loads. Its construction may support limited axial forces, but it should not replace a thrust bearing when the main load acts along the shaft axis.

Installation recommendations

• Use a shaft or screw with the appropriate diameter and fit.
• Prepare a clean, aligned and burr-free housing.
• Press on the outer ring when fitting the bearing into a housing.
• Press on the inner ring when fitting it onto a shaft.
• Do not transmit installation force through the balls.
• Avoid direct impacts and do not deform the side shields.
• Check that the bearing rotates freely after installation.
