Meaning of ZZ

The ZZ suffix indicates metal shields on both sides. These shields help retain lubricant and reduce particle ingress, but they do not provide a watertight seal against water, fine dust or liquids.

Applications and compatibility

It can be used in 3D printer mechanisms, small CNC machines, rollers, pulleys and automation projects when all three nominal dimensions match. Checking only the shaft diameter is not sufficient.

Compatibility with Creality, Prusa, Voron, RepRap or other custom machines depends on the specific component. Check the 19 mm housing, available 6 mm width and axial retention system.

Installation

Installation pressure should be applied to the ring being fitted. Do not transfer the insertion force through the balls. When using a screw as the shaft, avoid running the bearing directly on its threaded section.
