Replacement gear and hardware kit for HGX Lite extruder
Mechanical spare-parts kit for repairing or rebuilding the transmission of an HGX Lite extruder. It includes the reduction and dual-drive gears, shafts, bearings, tensioner, inserts and fasteners shown in the picture, making it useful when the extruder housing is still serviceable but one or more internal components are worn or damaged.
This product is not a complete extruder: the housing, motor, hotend and electrical parts are not included. If you need the assembled body, see the HGX Lite extruder without motor for 1.75 mm filament.

The red or black housing, motor, motor pinion, hotend and filament are not included.

These values are nominal dimensions from the commercial drawing and help identify the parts. Before ordering, also compare the tooth profile, shaft lengths, bearing seats and drive-wheel positions with the mechanism removed from your extruder.
Compatibility
The kit is intended for HGX Lite extruders with equivalent geometry. It can be used as a replacement for our HGX Lite body when its revision and original parts match the photograph and listed dimensions.
It must not be treated as universal for every extruder sold as HGX or HGX Lite. Revisions and manufacturers may use different shafts, bearings, teeth and housings; it is not a direct spare for LGX, Orbiter, Sherpa or other extruder families either. If in doubt, compare the kit with the removed parts before permanently dismantling the machine.
Assembly and maintenance
- Photograph the shaft, washer and gear positions before dismantling the extruder.
- Clean the housing and remove filament residue or particles from the bearing seats.
- Check that shafts and bearings seat without force and that the gear train turns without tight spots.
- If lubricant is used, apply only a very small amount of a suitable product to the reduction train; do not grease the surfaces that grip the filament.
- Align both drive wheels with the filament path and use the lowest pressure that prevents slipping.
- After closing the extruder, turn the mechanism manually and perform a slow feed test before printing.
Calibration after replacement
Replacing the drive wheels can slightly change the effective feed diameter. Even when the kit maintains the original transmission, command and measure a known extrusion length, then recalibrate steps per millimetre in Marlin or RepRapFirmware, or rotation_distance in Klipper. There is no universal value because it depends on the motor, microsteps, actual ratio and installed drive-wheel geometry.

- You can correctly dismantle, clean, assemble and recalibrate the mechanism.

- You need a complete, ready-to-install extruder.
- Your revision uses different shafts, bearings or tooth profiles.
- You want a universal kit for converting any dual-drive extruder.
