WINKLE PLA High Speed 1.75 mm Filament
High-speed PLA filament from WINKLE, manufactured in Spain and optimised to increase printing speed while maintaining a good level of detail. It is intended for correctly calibrated FFF/FDM printers with a hotend, extruder, bed and motion system prepared for high-speed operation.
The range includes colours such as Canary Yellow, Sky Blue, Glacier White, Jet Black, Devil Red, Avocado Green and Ash Gray, depending on the available options. The advertised speed is not a universal setting: it depends on hotend flow, acceleration, cooling, part geometry and the printer's mechanical capability.
Printing parameters
- Diameter: 1.75 mm.
- Recommended nozzle: 0.4 mm.
- Nozzle temperature up to approximately 300 mm/s: 200-220 °C.
- Nozzle temperature at 600 mm/s: 230-250 °C.
- Bed temperature: 40-60 °C.
- Advertised speed: up to 600 mm/s.
- Published maximum volumetric speed: 24 mm³/s.
- Chamber: open.
Start with moderate speed and temperature, validate volumetric flow and increase gradually. To reach high speeds, the complete system must be ready: a hotend that cannot melt enough material, a bed that cannot maintain adhesion or a machine with vibration can limit results even if the filament is rated for higher speed.
Storage
Keep the spool protected from moisture and direct light, preferably in its sealed bag with desiccant. If the filament has absorbed moisture, suitable drying may help reduce popping, stringing and irregular extrusion.
It is for you if
You want to make use of a fast printer and need WINKLE PLA with specific parameters for increasing speed while maintaining control over the finish.
It is not for you if
It is not the best choice if your printer has a low-flow hotend, does not allow acceleration and flow tuning, or you want to print at 600 mm/s without first checking the machine's mechanical and thermal limits.
