The HANPOSE 775-288W is a brushed DC, double-ball-bearing, double-shaft motor for building compact spindles in small CNC machines, engravers and bench tools. It is the fastest member of this family, with declared no-load reference speeds of 6,000rpm at 12V and 12,000rpm at 24V.
Its 5 × 16mm round front shaft accepts a compatible chuck or collet adapter. Higher speed can benefit small cutters in wood, plastics, PCB work and engraving, but results also depend on tooling, runout, feed, depth of cut, rigidity and chip removal.

What you need
- A rigid mount compatible with the body and fixing pattern.
- A 5mm-shaft chuck or collet adapter rated for the selected rpm.
- A brushed-DC power controller, preferably with PWM soft start.
- A 12V or 24V supply, wiring, terminals and fuse sized for load and transients.
- A cutting tool, guard, dust/chip extraction and emergency stop.
A CNC controller may command a compatible power stage using PWM or enable, but the motor must not be powered from a logic pin. Supply candidates include the 12V 33A supply and 24V 25A supply; confirm transient margin, other loads, controller and protection.
Setup and first run
- With power removed, secure the motor without blocking airflow.
- Fit the adapter to the 5mm shaft and check for rubbing or misalignment.
- Guard the rear shaft, terminals and rotating parts.
- Test without a tool at low PWM; stop on abnormal vibration, noise or rapid heating.
- Use a tool rated above the selected speed and begin with shallow cuts.
Polarity reversal changes direction. Only reverse with power removed and when the holder cannot loosen. Never hold the shaft stalled: startup and stall are high-current conditions.

Cooling, EMI and safety
- Keep vents clear and monitor motor, controller, wiring and terminals.
- No continuous duty cycle is declared; set load and rest periods from actual temperature.
- Separate power wiring from USB, probes and endstops; twist the pair and add suppression if EMI appears.
- The fan moves less air at low PWM, so avoid prolonged low-speed/high-load operation.
- Use eye protection, guarding, extraction and an accessible emergency stop.
It is for you if
- You want the highest declared speed in this family for small cutters or engraving.
- You can correctly size the electronics and complete the mechanical system.
- Your machine is rigid enough and you can verify runout, vibration and temperature.
It is not for you if
- You need an integrated collet, certified runout, guaranteed continuous output or duty cycle.
- You select machining capability only from the 288W label.
- You lack a DC power controller, fuse and guarding.
