Expert technical support
Over 10 years helping customers with components and compatibility.

flat ceramic heater rated for 24 V and a nominal 48 W, designed as a compatible replacement for Bambu Lab X1 and X1 Carbon hotends. It can replace a damaged heater while retaining the electrical specification and architecture of the original hotend assembly.

This is a compatible replacement manufactured by Fresa 3D, not an original Bambu Lab part. Its dimensions, connector and cable length must be compared with the heater installed in the printer before purchase.

Technical specifications

Specification Value
Rated voltage 24 V DC
Nominal power 48 W
Cold resistance 11–14 Ω
Ceramic element dimensions Approximately 6.5 × 15 mm
Overall length Approximately 120 mm
Connector 2-pin XH2.54

The product drawing shows an approximate 50 W marking. This product page retains 48 W as the nominal value, consistent with this hotend architecture and the stated resistance range.

Compatibility

  • Bambu Lab X1 and X1 Carbon: compatibility is conditional on matching the two-pin connector, heater dimensions, cable length and electrical specifications.
  • Third-party compatible hotends: suitable only when they reproduce the geometry and connection used by the X1/X1C hotend.
  • Not specified for Bambu Lab P1P or P1S: the P1 Series uses a dedicated replacement module combining the heater and thermistor and may use a different connection.
  • Not compatible with Bambu Lab X1E.
  • It must not be treated as a universal heater or assumed to fit A1, H2, P2S or other 24 V printers.

Checks before installation

With the heater disconnected and at room temperature, use a multimeter to confirm a resistance of approximately 11–14 Ω. Do not install it if the reading is outside this range or if the ceramic element, insulation or wires are damaged.

The connector must fit without force. Matching voltage and wattage alone does not guarantee compatibility; dimensions, retention system and cable routing must also match.

Safe installation

  1. Allow the hotend to cool to 50 °C or below, switch the printer off and unplug it.
  2. Remove the toolhead cover and carefully disconnect the old heater.
  3. Remove the silicone sock and retaining clip according to the printer maintenance procedure.
  4. If hardened thermal grease prevents removal, do not pull on the ceramic element or its wires. Apply alcohol and allow it to soften for a few minutes before carefully separating the parts.
  5. Apply suitable thermal compound and position the heater between the raised tabs on the block, with its wires facing away from the block and routed through the correct channel.
  6. Correctly reinstall the thermistor, retaining clip, silicone sock and remaining components before connecting the heater.
  7. Run the printer’s available self-test and monitor the first heating cycle. Temperature should rise continuously and remain stable without errors or abnormal fluctuations.

Never power the heater while it is loose or outside the hotend. Firmware temperature limits must not be increased to compensate for slow or unstable heating.
