The LMK8LUU combines a long linear ball bearing for 8 mm smooth shafts with a square four-hole mounting flange. This configuration allows it to be mounted directly to a carriage or platform without manufacturing a separate cylindrical housing.

Its nominal 45 mm length provides a longer guidance surface than a standard LM8UU. The flange simplifies installation, although both the shaft diameter and mounting pattern must match the assembly.

Nominal reference dimensions

Feature Nominal dimension
Shaft diameter8 mm
Body outer diameter15 mm
Overall length45 mm
Flange outer dimension32 mm
Flange width across flats25 mm
Flange thickness5 mm
Mounting PCD24 mm
Mounting holes4 stepped holes, 3.4 × 6.5 × 3.3 mm reference

The flange dimensions correspond to the commonly published LMK8LUU geometry. As the specific manufacturer is not identified, measure the received unit before drilling a mounting plate without slots or adjustment clearance.

Compatibility

Designed for a calibrated 8 mm smooth shaft. For installations using a separate housing, see the long cylindrical LM8LUU.

The flange holes are through holes, not threaded mounting points. Compatibility requires checking the available length, mounting pattern, flange clearance and shaft alignment.

Installation

  • Mount the flange on a flat and rigid surface.
  • Tighten the four screws gradually in a cross pattern.
  • Do not use the flange to force a misaligned shaft into position.
  • Check movement by hand before operating the motors.

Package contents

  • 1 × LMK8LUU long square-flange linear bearing.
