3DLAC Stick 80 ml is a 3D printer build-plate adhesive with a sponge applicator. It makes it easy to spread a thin coating only where the model will be printed, without aerosol overspray and with particularly convenient control for small or localised prints.
Its water-based, alcohol-free formula is made in Spain by 3DLAC. It helps stabilise the first layer and reduce corner lifting, although results also depend on the build surface, material and correctly adjusted print settings.

Why choose the Stick format

How to apply 3DLAC Stick
- Check that the build-surface manufacturer permits adhesives. The plate must be clean, dry and at a temperature at which it can be handled safely.
- Shake the bottle before use.
- Turn it upside down and gently press the sponge until it is primed.
- Spread a thin, even coating over the model's footprint; there is no need to soak the entire plate.
- Allow the film to dry before heating the bed and starting the print.
- Wait for the model and build surface to cool before separating them. Contraction during cooling often assists release.
- When residue builds up or adhesion decreases, clean the surface with water and a soft cloth according to its own maintenance instructions.
Material and surface compatibility
3DLAC specifies compatibility with PLA, PETG and ABS, as well as other common filaments. Final adhesion depends on the specific combination of material and build surface, bed temperature, model geometry and printing environment.
It can be used on different build surfaces when their manufacturers permit adhesives. Glass, aluminium, smooth or textured PEI and flexible sheets are available with different finishes and coatings: follow their instructions and first test a small area. With PETG and other materials that may bond too strongly, a suitable film can also work as a release layer, but it does not replace the precautions specified for each plate.
Adhesive cannot compensate for a dirty or unlevel bed, incorrect Z offset, an overly fast first layer, unsuitable temperatures or draughts. Correct these factors before applying more product.

Responsible use and storage
Use the product only as a 3D printing adhesive, avoid eye contact and do not ingest it. The safety data sheet states that it contains preservatives which may cause an allergic reaction. Keep the bottle tightly closed, upright and out of reach of children.
Store between 5 and 25 °C in a dry, ventilated place, separated from food, heat sources and strongly acidic or alkaline products. Do not pour residue into drains or waterways; dispose of the product and its container according to local regulations.

- You want an easy-to-dose first-layer adhesive without aerosol spray.
- You prefer to apply product only beneath the model, with little residue around it.
- You print PLA, PETG, ABS or another compatible material on a surface that permits adhesives.
It is not for you if...
- Your build-plate documentation prohibits adhesives or water-based solutions.
- You regularly need to coat a large build plate as quickly as possible; an aerosol may be more practical.
- You expect adhesive alone to solve a bed-levelling, first-layer, temperature or material-shrinkage problem.
