100K NTC Beta 3950 thermistor for temperature measurement in hotends, heated beds and other compatible thermal control systems. It is supplied pre-wired with a 1 metre cable and a Dupont connector, making it suitable for replacement and new FDM 3D printer installations.
Features
- Sensor type: NTC thermistor.
- Nominal resistance: 100K at 25 °C.
- Beta value: 3950.
- Cable length: 1 m.
- Connector: 2-pin Dupont.
- Quantity: 1 unit.
Compatibility
It can be used with hotends and heated beds designed for a wired thermistor, provided that the controller board, mounting system and firmware support a 100K Beta 3950 NTC sensor. A matching connector alone does not guarantee the correct pinout or configuration.
For a V5 or V6-type hotend installation, it may be combined, when the sensor dimensions are suitable, with the V6 Heater Block with M6 Thread Compatible with V5 and V6 Hotends.
Firmware configuration
- Marlin 2.1.x: type 11 is the recommended simple option when the input uses a 4.7 kΩ pull-up resistor. Marlin must be compiled and installed after the change. Advanced installations may use type 1000 with the actual 100K resistance, Beta 3950 value and pull-up resistance.
- Klipper: use sensor_type: Generic 3950 in the extruder or heated-bed section and verify the sensor pin and board pull-up resistance.
- RepRapFirmware 3: define the sensor with M308 as a 100K Beta 3950 thermistor, using the correct board pin.
Marlin table 1 is not recommended as the default configuration for this product. It may appear reasonable at low temperatures, but it represents a different Beta 4092 curve and the deviation increases as temperature rises.
Checks after installation
Before enabling the heater, check that the ambient reading is stable and reasonable. Heat progressively, compare the reading with an independent reference and retune the heater control if required by the machine.
