Pre-wired 100K NTC Beta 3950 thermistor for temperature measurement in compatible hotends, heated beds and thermal control projects. It includes a 1 metre cable and a 2-pin XH connector.

Compatibility

It can be used in hotends or heated beds whose electronics support a 100K Beta 3950 NTC sensor. Check the mounting method, connector and pin arrangement before replacing the original sensor.

When its physical format is suitable, it may be installed in the V6 Heater Block with M6 Thread Compatible with V5 and V6 Hotends.

Firmware configuration

  • Marlin 2.1.x: type 11 with a 4.7 kΩ pull-up; type 1000 may be used for an explicit definition. Marlin must be compiled and installed after the change.
  • Klipper: sensor_type: Generic 3950 in printer.cfg.
  • RepRapFirmware 3: define the thermistor with M308 using T100000 B3950.

Marlin table 1 may appear functional at low temperatures, but it does not reproduce the Beta 3950 curve and should not be the default recommendation for this sensor.

Verification

After installation, check the cold reading and heat progressively. If the reading decreases while heating, jumps, freezes or separates significantly from an independent reference, stop the test immediately.
