Self-adhesive thermal insulation for the underside of a heated bed, combining a foam layer, an aluminium-finished surface and an adhesive backing. Its nominal format suits many square 3D-printer beds, provided that their dimensions, mounting holes and cable position are checked first.
By reducing heat loss from the underside, it may shorten warm-up time, improve temperature stability and reduce the energy required to maintain the bed temperature. Actual results depend on heater power, operating temperature, airflow and printer construction.

Recommended installation
- Disconnect the printer completely and allow the bed to cool.
- Clean and degrease the underside; it must be dry and free from dust.
- Test-fit the insulation before removing the backing and mark the required cut-outs.
- Keep screws, springs, spacers, connectors, solder joints, thermistor and cable strain relief accessible.
- Peel the paper back gradually while pressing from the centre towards the edges to avoid bubbles and creases.
- Check that no part can rub against the frame or restrict the bed's full travel.
After installation
The bed's thermal response may change as heat loss is reduced. Monitor the first heating cycle and confirm that temperature settles without excessive oscillation. If the firmware uses PID bed control and overshoot or instability appears, retune it using the procedure specified for the machine.
Compatibility
Suitable for beds up to approximately 220 × 220 mm, or it may be trimmed for smaller formats. It is not specific to a particular printer: check the actual bed dimensions, screw pattern, axis travel, cable exit and available clearance beneath the platform.
