Fastener kit for assembling or repairing a Prusa i3 Rework with the classic mechanical configuration based on M10 threaded rods and M5-thread Z-axis motion. It brings together screws, nuts, washers, bed springs and the special hardware used by the extruder and Z axis.
It is a practical way to obtain the sizes and quantities used by this design without purchasing every reference separately. The Prusa i3 family includes many revisions and derivatives, so check the printed-part design and bill of materials before using it on another machine.

Special hardware included
- 1 × hobbed bolt for the extruder drive.
- 2 × partially threaded M3 × 40 mm screws with springs for adjusting extruder pressure.
- 1 × M8 × 20 mm stud for the extruder tensioner.
- 1 × M3 × 10 mm stud for the small wheel.
- 2 × M5 nylon nuts for Z-axis motion, supplied in white or black depending on the batch.
These components are also available as a separate Prusa i3 Rework special-hardware kit when only that part of the assembly needs repair.
Compatibility
The kit is prepared for the classic Prusa i3 Rework and reproductions that retain its geometry, printed parts and metric fasteners. It is not a universal hardware set for every printer described as a Prusa i3.
- Frame: Rework configuration using M10 threaded rods.
- Z axis: version using M5 threaded rods and nuts; it does not directly match revisions converted to trapezoidal or ACME lead screws.
- Extruder: hardware for the extruder defined by the Rework printed parts; other extruders may require different lengths or components.
- Derivatives: always check the BOM, printed parts and Z-axis type before purchasing.
It can be combined with the Prusa i3 Rework printed-parts kit and the 14-rod kit for Prusa i3 Rework.
Not included
- Frame or heated-bed support.
- Smooth or threaded rods, linear bearings, motors, pulleys or belts.
- Printed parts, complete extruder, hotend, heated bed or electronics.
- Assembly tools.
Assembly recommendations
- Sort the hardware by thread and length before starting.
- Compare each item with the drawing or manual for your revision; do not substitute lengths without checking clearance and travel.
- Adjust the extruder springs progressively: excessive pressure can deform filament or printed parts.
- Check that the Z axis moves freely without binding after fitting the M5 nuts.
- Recheck frame geometry and fastener tightness after the initial assembly.
This kit is for you if
- You are assembling or restoring a Prusa i3 Rework in its classic configuration.
- You want the general fasteners and special design hardware in one kit.
- You have confirmed that your printed parts and Z axis use these sizes.
This kit is not for you if
- Your printer only shares the Prusa i3 name but uses a different frame, extruder or BOM.
- Your Z axis has been converted to T8/ACME lead screws and you need hardware for that modification.
- You need a complete structure, motion, extrusion and electronics kit.
