220x220mm
MK52
The FYSETC 220 × 220mm flexible sheet combines two printing surfaces on a single spring-steel plate: a smooth gold face and a black textured PEI face. This lets you choose the bottom finish and adapt the surface to the filament without replacing the whole bed system.
It attaches to a compatible magnetic base and, after cooling, can be removed and flexed gently to help release the print. The heated bed and magnetic base are not included.
Two finishes on one sheet
- Smooth gold face: produces an even, glossy bottom finish and is particularly suitable for PLA.
- Black textured face: transfers a fine rough finish and is especially practical for PETG, CPE and flexible filaments.
Both sides require a correctly calibrated first layer. Materials bonding very strongly to PEI may need glue stick as a separation layer, not necessarily to increase adhesion.
Main specifications
| Feature | Value |
|---|---|
| Brand | FYSETC |
| Core | Flexible spring steel |
| Nominal size | 220 × 220mm |
| Side 1 | Smooth gold PEI finish |
| Side 2 | Black textured PEI finish |
| Visible geometry | Two projecting tabs with two holes each |
| Required system | Compatible magnetic base |
| Contents | One sheet; heated bed and magnetic base not included |
The 220 × 220mm figure is the nominal main-body size. The tabs project beyond that outline and require free space. Thickness and total length including the tabs are not stated because no unambiguous drawing is available for this exact part.
Bed and printer compatibility
It is a natural companion for the FYSETC 220 × 220mm, 24V magnetic heated bed. Before combining them, confirm that the sheet sits fully supported, its tabs remain accessible and no edge can collide with the frame.
It may also suit Prusa i3 derivatives, P3Steel, 3DSteel, Anet A8 and custom builds where the physical platform accepts a nominal 220 × 220mm sheet and has a suitable magnetic base. Compatibility cannot be inferred solely from the advertised print volume.
It is not a direct replacement for most Creality Ender-3, Ender-3 V2, Ender-3 S1 or Voxelab Aquila machines: although many advertise a print area near 220 × 220mm, their physical platform is often 235 × 235mm. Always measure the actual bed.
For a new installation without a magnetic base, see the newer 220 × 220mm smooth/textured PEI sheet with magnetic base. Prusa-style MK52 beds require the dedicated outline of the 241 × 253.8mm FYSETC MK52 sheet.
Material and surface guide
| Material | Starting surface | Precaution |
|---|---|---|
| PLA | Smooth; textured for a rough finish | Small footprints on textured PEI may need a brim and a very clean surface |
| PETG and CPE | Textured | Use a separation layer on smooth PEI and begin with a small test |
| TPU / TPEE | Textured | Avoid excessive first-layer squish; smooth PEI may bond too strongly |
| ABS and ASA | Either, according to the desired finish | Use glue stick as a separator and control warping and ambient temperature |
| Nylon and PC Blend | Conditional use | Apply a separator and follow the exact filament documentation |
Bed and nozzle temperatures must come from the profile for the exact filament. A universal temperature table attached to the sheet could be wrong for a different formulation, printer or environment.
Installation and calibration
- With the bed cold, confirm that the magnetic base is clean, flat and free from debris.
- Place the sheet with the chosen side facing up and make sure it is fully supported.
- Move the axes by hand to check that no edge or tab interferes.
- Readjust Z offset and calibrate the first layer after changing from another surface or flipping the sheet.
- Run a small test before using the entire bed.
The steel core can be detected by many inductive probes, but it does not guarantee the same detection distance or repeatability with every sensor. Verify detection manually before automatic homing and recalibrate the bed mesh.
Cleaning, removal and storage
- Clean the selected side while cold using approximately 90% isopropyl alcohol or additive-free denatured alcohol.
- Avoid touching the usable area.
- For persistent grease, occasionally wash with warm water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid; do not soak and dry completely.
- Do not use acetone, ABS juice, metal scrapers, blades or abrasive products.
- Allow to cool, remove the sheet and flex it gently in several directions.
- Do not bend it sharply or place it in a freezer.
It is for you if
- Your bed and magnetic base accept a nominal 220 × 220mm flexible sheet.
- You want to choose between a smooth and a textured first-layer finish.
- You print PLA, PETG, CPE, TPU or other materials and will prepare the surface accordingly.
- You want to release parts by flexing the sheet after cooling.
It is not for you if
- Your physical platform is 235 × 235mm or uses the MK52 outline.
- You do not have a magnetic base and do not want to install one.
- You cannot recalibrate Z offset and the first layer after changing sheets.
- You require certified thickness or total dimensions including the tabs.
Package contents
- 1 × FYSETC 220 × 220mm flexible sheet with smooth and textured PEI.
