Matte-Style Anti-Warping Adhesive Sheet for 3D Printing
Thin adhesive sheet with a slightly textured surface to improve first-layer adhesion. It can help reduce part movement and corner lifting when the surface, temperature and first layer are correctly adjusted.
It can be applied directly to MK3-style aluminium beds or to a cold bed for materials such as PLA and, with suitable settings, PETG. It can also be applied to a flexible hardened spring steel sheet to make part removal easier by flexing the assembly.
Installation
- Clean and dry the surface before applying the sheet. Remove dust, grease and adhesive residue.
- Make sure the bed is cold and position the sheet before removing the backing.
- Remove the backing gradually and apply from one edge, avoiding bubbles and folds.
- Check that it does not interfere with clips, sensors, screws or toolhead travel.
- Recalibrate the first layer and Z offset after installation.
The sheet can be cut with scissors or a craft knife to fit smaller surfaces or rounded edges. Cut it before applying and handle tools carefully.
Adhesion and removal
Start with a low bed temperature within the filament manufacturer's recommended range and increase it gradually if needed. Excessive temperature or a Z offset that is too low can make removal difficult and damage the surface or the part.
To remove a print, let the bed cool and use a flexible base whenever possible. Do not force the part or insert tools underneath it in a way that could mark the sheet.
It is for you if: you need a straightforward adhesive surface to improve the first layer of PLA and other compatible materials.
It is not for you if: you need a complete heated bed, a universal surface for every filament, or cannot adjust the available Z offset after installation.
