M5x12 T-Bolt for 20 Series Aluminium Profile, 6 mm Slot

M5x12 T-bolt for fastening components to 20 series aluminium profiles with a 6 mm slot. The head can be inserted directly through the open slot and turned approximately 90° so that it sits across the inside of the profile.

Unlike a profile nut, this fastening system leaves the threaded section of the bolt facing outwards. It can be used to mount brackets, plates, supports and other accessories secured with an M5 nut.

Compatibility

Compatible with HTA3D 20 series aluminium profiles, including the 2020 profile and 2040 profile, as well as HTA3D accessories belonging to the same profile family.

For profiles from other manufacturers, the nominal 6 mm slot width and internal channel geometry should be checked before compatibility is confirmed.

Choosing the correct length

The M5x12 version is suitable for assemblies with a relatively small component thickness. Consider the thickness of the accessory, any washers and the thread engagement required by the nut. When additional length is needed, use the M5x16 T-bolt for 20 series profiles.

Installation

• Insert the bolt head through the open slot.
• Turn it approximately 90° until positioned across the internal channel.
• Place the accessory over the threaded section.
• Fit the corresponding washer or nut and tighten the assembly.
• Check that the head has rotated and seated correctly before final tightening.

Alternative mounting options

If the assembly requires a screw to be inserted from the outside of the accessory, the M5 hammer nut or M5 sliding T-nut for 20 series profiles can be used.
