500 × 500 mm aluminium MK3 heated bed — 24 V, 280 W and pre-wired

500 × 500 × 3 mm aluminium MK3 heated bed for large-format 24 V FDM projects. Rated power is approximately 280 W; nominal current is about 11.7 A and equivalent resistance about 2.06 Ω. It includes roughly 90 cm of wiring and a 100 kΩ sensor.

Weight is approximately 2105 g. Mounting centres are 460 mm and the countersunk holes are approximately 7 mm at the top and 3.4 mm through the lower section.

Safe integration

Use an external DC MOSFET stage, power supply, fuse, connectors and wiring sized with margin. Support the 2.1 kg bed while allowing thermal expansion, add non-flammable underside insulation and do not cover terminals.

The supplied sensor is only identified as 100 kΩ. Confirm its curve before selecting firmware settings. Check the cold reading, thermal-runaway protection, PID tuning and temperature uniformity. No universal maximum temperature is claimed because the complete sensor, adhesive, insulation, build surface, wiring and structure determine the safe limit.

• You are building a 500 mm machine with a 24 V circuit sized above 12 A.
• You have a suitable structure, power supply and external switching stage.

It is not for you if

• You need a drop-in upgrade for a small printer.
• You cannot verify the sensor or complete power path.
• You have not allowed for mass, expansion and a possible machined top plate.
