This PTFE guide tube has a 4 mm outer diameter and a 2.5 mm inner diameter. It is suitable for guiding 1.75 mm filament in 3D printers, Bowden extrusion systems and auxiliary paths between the spool, a dry box and the extruder.
Its inner diameter provides more clearance than a conventional 4 × 2 mm PTFE tube. This facilitates filament travel and reduces sensitivity to small misalignments, but also allows more lateral movement. Long Bowden systems may therefore require retraction adjustment.

When should a 2.5 mm bore be selected?
This tube is suitable when the filament path requires more clearance than a conventional 4 × 2 mm tube. It can be useful as a filament guide or in paths where reducing friction caused by small misalignments is desirable.
For a Bowden transmission requiring tighter filament control and more precise retractions, a 4 × 2 mm PTFE tube for 1.75 mm filament may be more suitable. The appropriate diameter depends on the extruder, path length, bend radius and retraction settings.
Fitting compatibility
The tube can be used with pneumatic fittings designed for 4 mm outer-diameter tubing. The fitting thread and its through-hole or internal-stop design must also be compatible with the extruder or hotend.
Supply information
The price corresponds to 1 metre. When several units are ordered, a single continuous length will be supplied whenever possible. The maximum available length in one piece is 25 metres.
The PTFE grade and maximum operating temperature are not specified. It should therefore be treated as a guide tube, and compatibility as a liner inside a hot zone should not be assumed without checking the hotend requirements.
