SAKATA 3D Ingeo 3D850 Transition PLA Filament 1.75 mm
Transition PLA filament made by SAKATA 3D from NatureWorks Ingeo 3D850 resin. It is intended for visual parts, models, figures, prototypes and projects that benefit from a progressive colour change without manually changing spools.
The colour and transition sequence are random. You may leave a preference with your order, but a specific combination cannot be guaranteed, nor can several spools be guaranteed to produce exactly the same transition.
Printing parameters
- Nominal diameter: 1.75 mm.
- Stated tolerance: ±0.03 mm.
- Nozzle temperature: 200-220 °C, as the starting range published by SAKATA 3D for PLA 850.
- Bed temperature: recommended between 40 and 60 °C; printing without a heated bed may be possible in some setups.
- Chamber: open.
Start around the middle of the range and tune temperature, flow, retraction, cooling and first layer for your printer. Actual adhesion also depends on the surface, part size and air currents.
Properties and storage
According to the manufacturer's documentation, PLA 850 is characterised by fast crystallisation, low thermal shrinkage and good mechanical and thermal performance compared with standard PLA. These properties do not automatically make every printed part suitable for a specific temperature or load: the result depends on geometry, orientation, process and final use.
Keep the spool in its sealed bag with desiccant and protect it from moisture and direct light. If the filament has absorbed moisture, suitable drying may help improve extrusion.

You want SAKATA 3D transition PLA based on Ingeo 3D850, with a good finish and properties above standard PLA, and accept that the colour is random.
It is not for you if
You need a uniform colour, want to reproduce a specific sequence between spools, or need a guaranteed thermal resistance for a specific technical application.
