Compact Trianglelab V6DM aluminium heatsink for building a hotend with an M7 × 1 upper-thread heatbreak. Its cylindrical body measures approximately 22mm in diameter and 26mm high, allowing lightweight toolheads to be built around a direct four-screw M2.5 top mounting system.
Unlike a conventional V6 heatsink, it does not use a circular mounting groove. It bolts directly to the extruder or toolhead support, providing a compact and rigid connection when paired with a part designed for its mounting pattern.

Compatibility
Compatible with heatbreaks using an M7 × 1 upper thread and suitable length and geometry. Possible options include certain V6 all-metal heatbreaks, PTFE-lined V6 heatbreaks and compatible bimetal versions.
An M7 thread alone does not guarantee a correct combination. Also check:
- Heatbreak threaded length.
- Final heater-block position.
- Continuity and alignment of the filament path.
- Available cooling space.
- The support’s four-hole M2.5 mounting pattern.
Extruder and machine compatibility
It can be integrated into direct-drive extruders and custom toolheads with a dedicated V6DM support. It is not a direct replacement for every conventional groove-mounted V6 hotend.
Installation in a particular printer may require a printed or machined support, checking the complete hotend height and updating probe or part-cooling offsets.

Cooling and assembly
The fins require continuous airflow while the hotend is hot. The support must allow the fan to move air through the body without blocked areas.
- Check the M2.5 mounting pattern and required screw length.
- Tighten the heatsink progressively in a cross pattern.
- Do not use screws long enough to interfere with the interior or damage the body.
- Install a compatible M7 heatbreak.
- Check alignment through the complete filament path.
- Install and test cooling before heating the hotend.
Insufficient cooling can cause heat creep, premature filament softening and jams. The heatsink fan is separate from the part-cooling fan.
