V6-format heater block designed to accommodate temperature sensors with a nominal 3 mm cylindrical encapsulation, including NTC thermistors and RTD sensors such as the PT100. It also firmly secures the heater cartridge, providing stable installation and good thermal contact between the hotend components.

Compatibility and installation

Sensor compatibility is mechanical and depends on the encapsulated body having a nominal diameter of 3 mm. It can be used, for example, with a 3 mm encapsulated NTC 3950 thermistor.

The sensor type must also be supported by the printer electronics and firmware. NTC thermistors and PT100 sensors use different reading systems, so firmware configuration changes or a dedicated interface may be required.

V5 and V6 heater blocks using an M6 thread are dimensionally interchangeable, although their lengths differ by 0.5 mm. Before installation, also check the heater cartridge diameter and the available space in the hotend.

It can be protected with the V6 heater block silicone sock for a 3 mm encapsulated sensor.
