9 mm GT2 timing belt with a wear-resistant coating, manufactured from neoprene and internally reinforced with fiberglass cords.
The 9 mm width provides a larger tooth contact area than a 6 mm belt, while the tooth coating is intended to reduce surface wear. It should be used only with pulleys, idlers and fastening points designed for this belt width.
Features and dimensions
- Profile: GT2 / 2GT.
- Pitch: 2 mm.
- Width: 9 mm.
- Overall thickness: approximately 1.38 mm.
- Tooth height: approximately 0.75 mm.
- Material: neoprene.
- Internal reinforcement: fiberglass.
- Toothed surface: coated for improved wear resistance.
- Format: open-ended belt.
- Length per unit: 1 metre.
Compatibility
It can be used with the GT2 16T drive pulley for 9 and 10 mm belts, GT2 20T drive pulley for 9 and 10 mm belts and idlers whose usable width accepts a 9 mm belt.
It is intended for CoreXY systems, large-format 3D printers, light-duty CNC machines and custom mechanisms specifically designed for 9 mm GT2 belts.
It should not be forced between flanges designed only for 6 mm belts. It should also not be treated as a direct replacement for a Voron machine or other high-performance equipment without checking the bill of materials and the component quality required by the design.
Differences from other versions
The conventional 9 mm POWGE GT2 belt provides a branded alternative without the specific positioning of this wear-resistant coating.
The 9 mm POWGE RF GT2 belt is intended to reduce vibration and dust generation. Both alternatives share the same profile and width but should not be presented as identical products.
Installation and firmware
- Check that every pulley accepts a 9 mm belt.
- Keep the pulleys parallel and correctly aligned.
- Prevent permanent contact with the flanges.
- Do not bend or crush the internal reinforcement.
- Apply only enough tension to remove unwanted play.
Changing from a 6 mm belt may require different pulleys, idlers and fastening points. When the GT2 pitch and drive-pulley tooth count remain unchanged, belt width and coating do not themselves alter Marlin steps per millimetre or the rotation distance used by Klipper or RepRapFirmware.
Supply format
Each unit corresponds to 1 metre. Multiple units are supplied as one continuous length whenever possible.
Contents: 1 metre of wear-resistant 9 mm GT2 timing belt.
