WINKLE 1.75 mm rPETG EN 13501-1 FR is a recycled PETG filament with a flame-retardant formulation for housings, signs, lighting, displays and prototypes where better documented fire behaviour is required than with conventional PETG. WINKLE markets it with a declared B-s1,d0 classification under EN 13501-1.

Scope of classification: it does not automatically make every printed part or installation a B-s1,d0 certified product. Geometry, thickness, orientation, settings, colour, assembly, substrate and final application may change behaviour. Regulated projects must check the documentation's field of application and, where required, test or certify the final part or assembly.

What B-s1,d0 means

  • B: very limited contribution to fire within the EN 13501-1 classification system.
  • s1: the declared smoke-production class.
  • d0: the declared flaming droplets or particles class.

This concerns reaction to fire, not fire resistance of a building element, electrical insulation, absence of combustion or guaranteed fire prevention. It must not be described as “non-combustible” and does not replace final-product safety assessment.

The detailed technical sheet identifies these values with LFAM pellet material. They are formulation context, not guaranteed values for this spool or every FDM part. The filament-specific commercial document supports the printing settings above.

Compatibility and validation

Can be profiled on 1.75 mm FDM/FFF printers with a heated bed, including HTA3D HPRO, Creality Ender 3, Prusa MK3/MK4, Bambu Lab A1/P1/X1 and Voron, provided the machine and surface support PETG. WINKLE lists AMS; spool dimensions and the exact feeder still require checking.

  1. Store sealed with desiccant; the LFAM pellet drying cycle is not automatically transferred to the 1.75 mm filament.
  2. Tune temperature, flow and cooling using specimens representative of final thickness.
  3. Record batch, colour, profile, orientation and geometry when the part forms part of regulatory assessment.
  4. Do not mix materials, pigments or post-processes without reassessing fire behaviour.
  5. Request and review applicable documentation before specifying it in architecture, transport, electrical or public-space projects.

For parts without a reaction-to-fire requirement, standard WINKLE PETG is simpler. For recycled content without classification needs, see WINKLE PETG RE.

  • You need an rPETG marketed with a declared B-s1,d0 classification.
  • You will document and validate the part or assembly for its real application.
  • You need white, black or transparent in a 1 kg spool.
