KFL08 Self-Aligning Two-Bolt Flange Bearing for 8 mm Shaft

Description

The KFL08 is a compact oval two-bolt flange bearing unit for 8 mm shafts. It can be mounted on a plate, frame or machine side panel to support a rotating shaft.

The bearing is secured to the shaft with grub screws and allows a small amount of angular adjustment inside the housing. This helps during alignment but cannot correct a distorted structure or severely displaced mounting points.

Nominal reference dimensions

• Bearing bore: 8 mm.
• Overall flange length: approximately 48 mm.
• Overall height: approximately 27 mm.
• Unit depth: approximately 12 mm.
• Mounting-hole centre distance: approximately 36-37 mm.
• Mounting holes: approximately 4.8-5 mm, normally suitable for M4 fasteners.

Small dimensional differences may exist between KFL08 units from different manufacturers. For a direct replacement, measure the original housing and its actual mounting-hole spacing.

Compatibility

Dimensionally compatible with 8 mm shafts. Shaft diameter alone does not guarantee a direct replacement: flange geometry, mounting-hole spacing, available depth and operating conditions must also be checked.

This unit supports shaft rotation and is not a replacement for a linear bearing designed to travel along a rod.

Installation recommendations

• Align the bearing units with the shaft inserted before final tightening.
• Do not use the mounting screws to force a misaligned housing into position.
• Tighten the grub screws progressively and check that the shaft rotates freely.
• Verify the dimensions when replacing a KFL08 unit from another manufacturer.
