KP08 Self-Aligning Pillow Block Bearing for 8 mm Shaft

Description

The KP08 is a compact bearing unit consisting of an 8 mm bore bearing mounted in a pillow block housing. It supports a rotating shaft and can be secured directly to a flat surface through the two mounting holes in its base.

The bearing is locked to the shaft with grub screws. Its insert allows a small amount of angular adjustment inside the housing, helping with alignment during assembly. This feature does not replace correct installation and cannot compensate for a severely misaligned or distorted structure.

• Mounting holes: approximately 4.8-5 mm, normally suitable for M4 fasteners.

Compatibility

Dimensionally compatible with 8 mm shafts. When replacing an existing support, the shaft height, mounting-hole spacing, available space, load and operating speed must also be checked.

This product supports shaft rotation. It is not a replacement for a linear bearing when the component must travel along the shaft.

Installation recommendations

• Initially fit the supports loosely and align the shaft before final tightening.
• Do not force a shaft through misaligned bearing units.
• Tighten the grub screws progressively and manually check that the shaft rotates without binding.
• When replacing an existing unit, measure its mounting geometry before ordering.
