POWGE 10 mm GT2 timing belt, made from nylon-covered neoprene and internally reinforced with fiberglass cords.
It is intended for wide GT2 transmissions in CNC machines, large-format 3D printers, modified CoreXY mechanisms and automation projects specifically designed around a 10 mm belt.
Features and dimensions
- Brand: POWGE.
- Profile: GT2 / 2GT / 2M.
- Pitch: 2 mm.
- Width: 10 mm.
- Overall thickness: approximately 1.38 mm.
- Tooth height: approximately 0.75 mm.
- Material: nylon-covered neoprene.
- Internal reinforcement: fiberglass.
- Temperature range stated by POWGE for this belt family: approximately −34 to +85 °C.
- Format: open-ended belt.
- Length per unit: 1 metre.

Compatibility
It is compatible with GT2 pulleys designed for 10 mm belts, including the POWGE 16T drive pulley, POWGE 20T drive pulley, POWGE 20T toothed idler and POWGE smooth 20T-size idler.
It is not directly compatible with 6 mm systems even when they share the same profile and pitch. Pulleys, tensioners, clamps and brackets must provide sufficient usable width.
Common Creality Ender 3, Prusa i3 and Voron configurations use narrower belts. This 10 mm version should only be recommended when the machine has been fully designed or modified for it.
Comparison with other versions
For a generic alternative with a wear-resistant coating, see the wear-resistant 10 mm GT2 belt. For the POWGE range intended to reduce vibration and noise, see the 10 mm POWGE GT2 RF belt.
A wider belt does not automatically improve accuracy. It also requires more space and suitable pulleys, tensioners and clamps. In a high-performance machine, follow the quality and construction specified in its bill of materials.
Installation
- Do not force the belt onto 6 mm pulleys.
- Do not trim its sides to make it fit.
- Avoid sharp bends that could damage the reinforcement.
- Align the pulleys before applying tension.
- Check that the clamps accept a 10 mm belt.
- Avoid applying more tension than required by the mechanism.
Changing belt width or brand does not itself alter steps per millimetre. Firmware configuration depends on belt pitch, pulley tooth count and transmission ratio.
Supply format
Each unit corresponds to 1 metre of open-ended belt. Multiple units are supplied as one continuous length whenever possible.
