POWGE 9 mm GT2 timing belt, made from nylon-covered neoprene and reinforced with internal fiberglass cords.
The 9 mm width is intended for transmissions requiring a larger engagement area than a conventional 6 mm belt, provided that the pulleys, tensioners and clamps have been designed for it.
Features and dimensions
- Brand: POWGE.
- Profile: GT2 / 2GT / 2M.
- Pitch: 2 mm.
- Width: 9 mm.
- Overall thickness: approximately 1.38 mm.
- Tooth height: approximately 0.75 mm.
- Material: nylon-covered neoprene.
- Internal reinforcement: fiberglass.
- Temperature range stated by POWGE for this belt family: approximately −34 to +85 °C.
- Format: open-ended belt.
- Length per unit: 1 metre.

Compatibility
It should be used with GT2 pulleys and tensioners that accept a 9 mm belt. It can be combined with the GT2 16T drive pulley for 9 and 10 mm belts, GT2 20T drive pulley for 9 and 10 mm belts and 9/10 mm GT2 smooth idler, provided that the remaining dimensions match.
Some large-format CoreXY machines and certain RatRig V-Core versions use 9 mm belts. Check the bill of materials for the exact version, as belt length, brand, path and fastening may differ.
It is not directly compatible with the narrow pulleys used by common 6 mm Creality Ender 3, Prusa i3 or Voron configurations.
Comparison with other belts
Compared with the generic wear-resistant 9 mm GT2 belt, this version maintains a POWGE reference within the transmission. For the range intended to reduce noise and vibration, see the 9 mm POWGE GT2 RF belt.
Follow the quality recommended by the machine manufacturer. A generic belt may be sufficient for a basic project, while replacing a specified branded belt with a lower-grade alternative could impair the behaviour of a demanding machine.
Installation
- Do not install the belt on pulleys with only a 6 mm usable width.
- Do not trim its sides to reduce its width.
- Avoid sharp bends that could damage the fiberglass cords.
- Check alignment before applying tension.
- Use clamps designed for 9 mm belts.
Belt width alone does not alter steps per millimetre. Firmware configuration depends on belt pitch, pulley tooth count and transmission ratio.
Supply format
Each unit corresponds to 1 metre of open-ended belt. Multiple units are supplied as one continuous length whenever possible.
