POWGE RF 9 mm GT2 timing belt reinforced with fiberglass, 1 m

POWGE RF 9 mm GT2 timing belt, manufactured from nylon-covered neoprene and reinforced with internal fiberglass cords.

Its increased width provides a larger tooth contact area than a 6 mm belt, provided that the pulleys, idlers and fastening points are designed for a 9 mm belt. The RF range is intended to reduce vibration, friction and dust generation compared with a conventional POWGE belt.

Construction and GT2 profile

RF range characteristics

POWGE presents this range as a lower-vibration and lower-dust alternative to its conventional belts. Actual performance also depends on belt tension, alignment and pulley condition.

Compatibility

It should be used with GT2 pulleys and idlers that accept a 9 mm belt. Compatible catalogue components include the GT2 16T drive pulley for 9 and 10 mm belts, GT2 20T drive pulley for 9 and 10 mm belts and idlers with sufficient usable width.

It can be used in CoreXY systems, large-format 3D printers and light-duty CNC machines designed around a 9 mm GT2 belt. It should not be installed on a pulley designed only for a 6 mm belt, even when the tooth pitch is the same.

Some Voron configurations and other high-performance designs use 9 mm belts. Check the exact machine version and bill of materials, as a particular brand, construction or part reference may be required.

Differences from other belts

The conventional 9 mm POWGE GT2 belt retains the same brand, profile and width without the specific positioning of the RF range.

When a wear-resistant coating is preferred, consider the wear-resistant 9 mm GT2 belt. These versions should not be presented as identical and should be selected according to the machine design and operating requirements.

Installation and firmware

• Check that every pulley accepts a 9 mm belt.
• Do not force the belt between flanges designed only for a 6 mm belt.
• Keep the pulleys parallel and prevent permanent lateral contact.
• Do not bend, twist or crush the internal reinforcement.
• Apply only enough tension to remove unwanted play.

Changing belt width may require different pulleys, idlers and fastening points. However, retaining the same GT2 pitch and drive-pulley tooth count does not itself alter Marlin steps per millimetre or the rotation distance used by Klipper or RepRapFirmware.

Each unit corresponds to 1 metre. Multiple units are supplied as one continuous length whenever possible.
