Sakata 3D FleX-920 is a 89 Shore A flexible copolyester developed and manufactured in Spain for FDM/FFF 3D printing. It combines a rubber-like feel, flexibility and good impact resistance with easier handling than many very soft flexible filaments.
It is suitable for model tyres, non-critical belts, protectors, bumpers, seals, grips, impact-resistant housings, cosplay parts and prototypes that need to bend and recover their shape. Final flexibility also depends on wall thickness, infill, perimeter count and part geometry.
Available colours and spool sizes
Select either a 450 g or 1 kg spool, subject to availability. Active colours include White, Skin Tone 1, Camel, Fluor Lime, Yellow, Orange, Orange Fresh, Red, Fuchsia, Blue, Turquoise, Green, Grey, Chocolate, Black, Chalk Lemon and Slate.
Select both spool size and colour before adding the product to the basket. On-screen appearance may vary slightly with lighting, display settings and manufacturing batch.

Vicat and HDT are test results obtained from printed specimens and are not a guaranteed service temperature for every part. Actual behaviour varies with design, load, exposure time and print settings.

These values are a starting point. Flexible filament normally benefits from a slow initial setup, a closely constrained path between drive gears and hotend, limited retraction and enough extruder pressure to grip without crushing the material. Direct-drive or short, constrained paths are generally easier; Bowden systems must prevent the filament from buckling or escaping beside the drive path.
3D printer compatibility
Suitable for FDM/FFF printers using 1.75 mm filament that can reach the stated temperature range and feed 89A flexible material. Matching diameter and temperature alone is not sufficient: extruder design, the gap after the drive gears, filament path and loading system all affect reliability.
Storage and drying
Store the spool sealed and protected from moisture and heat. If printing produces bubbles, popping, a rough surface or reduced consistency, Sakata specifies optional drying for 2-4 hours at 60 °C. Ensure the dryer holds a stable temperature and the spool can tolerate the cycle.
Origin and responsible use
Sakata's technical sheet describes FleX-920 as biodegradable and partially renewable. This does not mean that a printed part will degrade rapidly in normal use or may be discarded in any environment; end-of-life treatment must follow available local facilities and rules.
The material is not certified for food contact or medical applications. Parts exposed to load, continuous heat, wear or safety functions require validation of the complete design before use.
