Sakata 3D RE-FleX-920 is made from material recovered during Sakata's own filament manufacturing process. It retains the flexible character of the FleX-920 family and is supplied as a 1 kg, 1.75 mm spool whose colour varies by batch.

It is particularly useful for prototypes, models, cosplay, protectors, bumpers, grips and functional parts where flexibility and material recovery matter more than reproducing an exact colour.

Sakata 3D RE-FleX-920 recycled flexible filament spool with variable colour

Batch-dependent colour

The colour depends on the material available in each recovery cycle and cannot be selected or guaranteed. Two spools may have different shades, including within the same order. The image identifies the product type but is not a commitment to the colour supplied.

Projects requiring repeatable colour, matching replacements or a corporate shade should use standard Sakata 3D FleX-920 with selectable colour.

Features

  • Brand: Sakata 3D Filaments.
  • Family: RE-FleX-920.
  • Material source: material recovered during filament manufacture; it is not presented as post-consumer waste.
  • Manufactured in: Spain.
  • Diameter: 1.75 mm.
  • Net weight: 1 kg.
  • Colour: varies by batch.
  • FleX-920 family hardness reference: 89 Shore A.

Sakata states that its RE filaments have mechanical and thermal properties similar to versions made from virgin raw materials. Because the material is recovered and the colour varies, settings and finish should be validated with the received spool whenever repeatability is important.

Printing guide

SettingStarting point
Nozzle220-245 °C
BedAround 40 °C; adjust for actual surface and adhesion
Initial speedStart within 10-50 mm/s and increase only after verifying reliable feeding
Reference surfaceGlass or PEI
Part cooling100% as a FleX-920 reference
Optional drying2-4 hours at 60 °C

Use a closely constrained filament path, limited retraction and enough extruder pressure to grip without excessively deforming the filament. Direct-drive or short paths are generally easier; Bowden configurations must prevent the material from buckling between the drive gear and tube.

Compatibility

Suitable for 1.75 mm FDM/FFF printers that can reach the stated temperature range and feed flexible material. Compatibility with automatic loaders, AMS units or multi-material systems must be checked in the printer documentation. If the manufacturer excludes flexible filament, use external feeding or the machine's recommended method.

Important: this version is not intended for projects requiring an exact, repeatable colour. It is also not certified for food contact, medical or safety applications.

Other versions in the family

Choose standard FleX-920 when a specific colour is required. For a spool containing one or more random production colour changes, see FleX-920 Transition.
