Sakata 3D FleX-920 Transition combines the properties of 89 Shore A FleX-920 flexible copolyester with one or more colour changes created during production transitions. It is supplied as a 1 kg, 1.75 mm spool.
It is suitable for prototypes, cosplay, decorative parts, model tyres, protectors, bumpers and flexible components where a unique colour result is welcome and an exact repeatable shade is not required.
Every spool is different
The colour is random and cannot be selected. The combination, intensity, number of changes and position of each transition within the spool are not guaranteed. Some units may contain a strong transition, while others may show a subtle variation or a change located in only one section of the spool.
Photographs are visual examples and do not necessarily represent the spool supplied. Projects requiring a defined, repeatable colour should use standard Sakata 3D FleX-920 with selectable colour.

Recommended print settings
- Nozzle: 220-245 °C.
- Bed: below 40 °C.
- Surface: glass or PEI; no additional treatment required as a reference.
- Speed: 10-50 mm/s.
- Part cooling: 100%.
- Enclosure: not required.
- Official reference: 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.2 mm layer.
- Optional drying: 2-4 hours at 60 °C.
As with any flexible filament, use a short, closely constrained path, limited retraction and moderate speed. Set extruder pressure high enough to feed reliably without crushing the filament or allowing it to buckle. Direct drive is usually easier; a Bowden printer may require additional tuning.
Compatibility and limitations
Suitable for 1.75 mm FDM/FFF printers that can reach the stated range and feed 89A flexible material. Operation is not guaranteed in every AMS, automatic loader or multi-material system: check the machine's specific compatibility and use external feeding where required.
The technical sheet describes FleX-920 as biodegradable and partially renewable. It is not certified for food contact or medical applications. Parts exposed to load, continuous heat, wear or a safety function must be validated before use.
