Translucent 2 × 4 mm PTFE Tube for 1.75 mm Filament – 1 m

Translucent PTFE tube with a 2 mm inside diameter and 4 mm outside diameter for guiding 1.75 mm filament. This is a common size for Bowden systems and other feed paths using fittings designed for 4 mm tubing. PTFE's low-friction surface helps filament move smoothly when the route and connections are properly assembled.

Compatibility and fitting

Check that your printer's fittings, guides and brackets accept 4 mm outside-diameter tubing and that the feed path is intended for 1.75 mm filament within a nominal 2 mm passage. The fitting thread, gripping mechanism and insertion depth need separate checks: matching tube size alone does not mean every connector is interchangeable. This tube is not suitable for 2.85 or 3 mm filament.

Cut the end square, remove any burrs and confirm that filament passes through without catching. Push the tube fully into its fitting and fit the retaining clip if the assembly uses one. Avoid tight bends, crushing and unnecessary length; then check the feed by hand and carry out a slow loading test.

How far the tube extends towards the hotend depends on the hotend design. Do not place it in the melt zone or use it in place of a specified liner without checking the hotend's construction and thermal limits. PTFE's general heat resistance is not a guaranteed operating temperature for this installed tube.

Other colours in the same size

If you prefer another colour with the same nominal 2 mm inside and 4 mm outside dimensions, see the blue PTFE tube or the black PTFE tube. Colour alone does not establish a performance difference.

It is right for you if you need translucent tubing sold by the metre for a 1.75 mm filament path with 4 mm tube fittings. It is not right for you if your printer needs another size, tubing with a declared dimensional tolerance or a component certified for use inside the hot zone.
