12 AWG Red Flexible Silicone Wire – Tinned Copper, 1m

Red 12 AWG flexible electrical wire made with a stranded tinned-copper conductor and silicone insulation. It is supplied in a 1-metre length and is suitable for power connections in 3D printers, CNC machines, electronics, robotics and other DC projects.

Its stranded construction and flexible insulation make routing and installation easier, particularly where a rigid wire would be inconvenient. The red insulation can be used to identify the positive conductor when following the usual colour convention.

Selection and installation

Wire compatibility is not determined by its gauge alone. Check the circuit current, total cable length, acceptable voltage drop, operating temperature, installation conditions and connector rating before use.

For a reliable connection, use terminals or ferrules suitable for 12 AWG wire and the correct crimping tool. When using screw terminals, soldering the wire end should not be used as a substitute for a ferrule because the solder may deform over time and reduce contact pressure.

Red insulation helps identify positive polarity, but the actual polarity must always be checked against the machine wiring diagram or with a suitable measuring instrument before applying power.
