FYSETC Metal Sherpa Mini V1.5 CNC 6.25:1 Extruder with 36 mm Motor
The FYSETC Metal Sherpa Mini V1.5 is a compact dual-gear extruder with a CNC-machined aluminium housing and 6.25:1 reduction. It is designed for direct-drive or Bowden configurations that have a compatible mounting bracket, hotend and filament guide.
Its lightweight body, CNC-machined POM main gear and nano-coated hardened-steel drive gears are intended to provide precise filament feeding in a compact package. It includes the 36 mm motor with the 8-tooth pinion used by this transmission ratio.

Driver current must be set for the controller board, driver type, measurement convention and actual cooling. The 0.8 A reference does not replace the controller manual and must not be copied without checking motor and driver temperature.
Mounting and compatibility
FYSETC shows applications on Voron, CR-10, CR-10S, CR-10 4S/5S/Mini, CR-20, Ender-2, Ender-3, Ender-3 Pro, Ender-3 V2 and Gasherbrum K3. Every installation still requires a bracket designed for this extruder; a printer name does not guarantee direct fitment.
Before purchasing, check the mounting pattern, orientation, motor and lever clearance, filament path, hotend position, fans, probe, cable length and allowable moving mass. The extruder alone does not include a hotend, printer mount, part-cooling duct or bed-level probe.
Extrusion setup
For an Ender-3 fitted with this 8-tooth motor version, FYSETC gives the following starting point:

M500
The E870 value depends on the 8-tooth motor and an equivalent microstepping configuration. Always measure real extrusion and correct the value before printing precision parts. M500 only saves the change when EEPROM is enabled and working in the firmware.
The current documentation does not provide a complete universal value for Klipper or RepRapFirmware. On those systems, first configure the real motor and microsteps for your electronics, declare the reduction only once, then calibrate extrusion by physical measurement. Do not copy a rotation_distance from another Sherpa, motor or gear ratio.
It is for you if
- You plan to fit a lightweight 6.25:1 extruder using the correct bracket for your toolhead.
- You want to build a direct-drive or Bowden setup while adapting the machine’s mechanics, filament guide and firmware.
- You can calibrate extrusion and cautiously tune the driver current.
It is not for you if
- You need a direct-fit replacement for any Ender, CR or Voron without a dedicated bracket.
- You require a hotend, fans, probe or part-cooling ducts to be included.
- You plan to reuse current or extrusion settings from another motor, gear ratio or Sherpa revision.
