Compact 0.3 mm nozzle for the TZ-V6 2.0 hotend, manufactured from hardened SKD11 steel with a DLC surface treatment. It combines wear resistance with a small outlet for fine details, thin walls and small features.

Compact hardened-steel TZ-V6 2.0 nozzle with a nominal 0.3 mm outlet

Main features

  • Nominal outlet: 0.3 mm.
  • Filament: 1.75 mm.
  • Material: hardened SKD11 steel with DLC treatment.
  • Stated hardness: HRC 60+.
  • Thread: M6 × 1.
  • Overall length: 10.6 mm.
  • Hex: 4 mm across flats.
  • Flow path: one central outlet; not a three-channel CHT nozzle.

Compatibility and dimensions

This is a direct replacement for the TZ-V6 2.0 hotend and assemblies using exactly the same nozzle. It is not a universal V6 nozzle: besides the M6 × 1 thread, overall length, threaded depth, sealing point, tool clearance and final tip position must match.

Do not assume compatibility with standard V6, Volcano, MK8, K1, Bambu Lab, CHC, Rapido, Dragon or other systems merely because they use 1.75 mm filament or an M6 thread.

The family drawing depicts the 0.4 mm version; its outer dimensions are shared, while this reference has a nominal 0.3 mm outlet.

When to choose 0.3 mm

It produces finer lines than 0.4 or 0.6 mm but reduces flow and increases print time. Approximate 0.08 to 0.24 mm layers are a useful starting range, subject to the slicer, printer and part.

Hardened steel resists wear, but a small outlet is not automatically suitable for every filled filament. Check the material manufacturer's minimum nozzle recommendation because fibre, wood, metal, glow pigment or mineral particles may increase clogging risk.

This is for you if

  • You have a compatible TZ-V6 2.0 and need more detail than 0.4 mm.
  • Your material allows a 0.3 mm outlet.
  • You accept lower layer height, flow and speed.

This is not for you if

  • Your hotend uses a V6, MK8, Volcano or another nozzle shape.
  • Your filled filament requires 0.4 or 0.6 mm.
  • You prioritise throughput, thick layers or more clogging margin.

Installation and calibration

  • Follow the installed hotend procedure; there is no universal temperature or torque.
  • Hold the block and use a 4 mm spanner without loading the heatbreak or touching heater, sensor or wiring.
  • Check the seal against the heatbreak and inspect for leaks.
  • Set 0.3 mm in the slicer and keep Klipper's nozzle_diameter consistent.
  • Recalibrate the first layer or Z offset, temperature, flow, retraction and Pressure Advance or Linear Advance where applicable.

Hardened steel transfers heat differently from brass. Tune temperature and flow by testing instead of applying one fixed offset. The complete TZ-V6 2.0 has a published 300 °C limit; the lowest limit among heater, sensor, block and other components always prevails.

Also available: 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm and the TZ-V6 silicone sock.
