GST3D Silk PLA+ 1.75 mm is designed for decorative prints with a glossy, smooth and pearlescent finish. It suits figures, vases, cosplay, trophies, lettering, models, gifts and visual prototypes where appearance is the priority.

The silk effect highlights curves and reflects light differently according to layer direction. It does not mean that the filament contains metal or that the finished part has the mechanical properties of aluminium, gold or any other material suggested by a colour name.

Use a temperature tower to balance shine, detail and layer bonding. A slower, consistent outer wall often improves appearance, while excessive speed can make reflections uneven. Plan seam position and orientation to keep them away from prominent surfaces.

Compatibility

Compatible with 1.75 mm FDM/FFF printers, including common HTA3D HPRO, Creality Ender 3, Prusa MK3/MK4, Bambu Lab A1/P1/X1 and Voron configurations. The machine needs a tuned PLA/PLA+ profile; enclosed or multi-material feeders also require spool and filament-path checks.

Storage

Protect the spool from humidity in a sealed bag with desiccant. If the material crackles, bubbles or loses surface uniformity, dry it before making large temperature or retraction changes.

Compare the range

Standard PLA+ is the neutral general-purpose choice. Bright PLA+ focuses on intense colours, Fluorescent PLA+ increases visibility and Marble PLA+ creates a speckled stone-like effect.

It is for you if

  • You want a pearlescent shine for figures and decorative objects.
  • You want curves and surfaces to stand out visually.
  • You can run a short test to tune temperature and outer-wall speed.

It is not for you if

  • You need certified mechanical or thermal properties.
  • You expect metallic colours to contain or behave like metal.
