Available Options
GST3D PLA+ 1.75 mm filament is a versatile choice for general-purpose 3D printing: visual prototypes, models, decorations, organisers, housings and everyday parts that will not operate at high temperatures. It is supplied on a 1 kg spool in a broad selection of colours.
Compared with the special finishes in the same family, this version prioritises a clean appearance that suits many projects. PLA+ is a practical starting material for new users, while a well-tuned machine can also produce fine detail and carefully finished surfaces.
Key features
- Material: PLA+ for FDM/FFF printing.
- Diameter: 1.75 mm.
- Net weight: 1 kg.
- Easy printing and little tendency to warp with a correctly set first layer.
- No enclosed chamber required.
- Good definition for decorations, models and visual prototypes.
- Vacuum-packed spool.
Available colours
Choose from Mustard, Orange, Red, Pink Panther, Blue, Aquamarine, Ice Blue, Army Green, Brown, Gold and Black. Perceived colour can vary with lighting, part finish and screen settings.
Starting print settings
GST3D provides a general range for PLA/PLA+. Use it as a starting point and give priority to the label on the spool received if it specifies narrower settings.
| Setting | Starting point |
|---|---|
| Nozzle temperature | 180-220°C; a common first test is around 200°C |
| Bed temperature | 40-60°C; a common first test is around 50°C |
| Part-cooling fan | Up to 100% after the first layers |
| Nozzle | 0.4 mm or larger as a typical setup |
Print a temperature tower in 5°C steps, then tune flow and retraction. Retraction distance depends on whether the machine uses direct or Bowden extrusion, so there is no single safe universal value.
Speed and flow
Maximum speed is not determined by the filament alone. It also depends on hotend volumetric flow, nozzle diameter, layer height and width, temperature and geometry. Increase speed progressively and slow down if under-extrusion, loss of detail or weaker layer bonding appears.
Compatibility
Compatible with FDM/FFF printers designed for 1.75 mm filament, including common HTA3D HPRO, Creality Ender 3, Prusa MK3/MK4, Bambu Lab A1/P1/X1 and Voron configurations. Compatibility still requires a suitable PLA/PLA+ profile and a check of feeder or multi-material system limitations.
Storage
Keep the spool sealed with desiccant. If crackling, bubbles or a newly rough surface appear, dry the material before trying to compensate with more temperature or retraction.
Choose the right finish
- GST3D Fluorescent PLA+: high-visibility fluorescent colours.
- GST3D Silk PLA+: glossy, pearlescent decorative finish.
- GST3D Bright PLA+: intense colours with strong visual shine.
- GST3D Marble PLA+: speckled stone-like effect.
It is for you if
- You want a general-purpose 1.75 mm PLA+ that is straightforward to tune.
- You want to choose from a broad colour range.
- You prioritise detail, low warping and a conventional finish.
It is not for you if
- The part will face high temperatures, outdoor exposure or continuous load without validation.
- You need flexibility, chemical resistance or a specific certification.
- You want a fluorescent, silk or marble finish; choose the relevant variant instead.
