POWGE GT2 20T drive pulley for 10 mm belt, 5 mm bore

POWGE GT2 20-tooth drive pulley for 10 mm belts, made of 6061 aluminium and designed to be secured to a 5 mm shaft with two M4 grub screws.

It is intended for wide-belt GT2 transmissions in large-format 3D printers, CNC machines and custom mechanisms.

Installation and compatibility

It is dimensionally compatible with Ø5 mm shafts. Whenever possible, position one grub screw against the flat section of the shaft and tighten both progressively to keep the pulley centred.

It can be used with the 10 mm POWGE GT2 belt, 10 mm POWGE GT2 RF belt and other 2 mm-pitch belts of the same width.

It is not a direct replacement for 6 mm mechanisms. The 20 mm overall length and available clearance around the hub and flanges must also be checked.

Firmware configuration

With direct drive, this pulley theoretically moves 40 mm of belt per revolution. With a 1.8° motor, 200 full steps per revolution and 16 microsteps, this corresponds to 80 steps/mm.

• Marlin: configure the axis with DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT or M92.
• Klipper: use a theoretical rotation_distance: 40.
• RepRapFirmware: configure the axis using M92 in config.g.

In CoreXY systems, both drive pulleys must use the same tooth count. Belt width does not change the steps-per-millimetre setting when pitch and tooth count remain the same.
