Sakata 3D PLA 850 Fluor is a filament made in Spain from NatureWorks Ingeo 3D850 and a selection of particularly vivid colours. It retains the easy printing, low shrinkage and detail of the PLA 850 family, with a strong visual presence for signs, decoration, cosplay, models and parts that need to stand out.

It is supplied as 1 kg spools in four options: Fluor Orange, Fluor Lime, Fluor Yellow and Fluor Light Green. “Fluor” identifies the colour range here; it does not mean that the material glows in the dark or has a certified ultraviolet response.

Applications

  • Signs, identifiers, high-visibility elements and organisers.
  • Cosplay, accessories, figures, models and vivid-colour decoration.
  • Indoor prototypes and functional parts benefiting from PLA's low shrinkage.
  • Objects where colour helps locate a part quickly or distinguish assemblies.

Print settings

These are starting points based on the manufacturer's current information. Tune temperature, flow, retraction and cooling for the printer, hotend and geometry.

SettingRecommended startAdjustment
Nozzle200-220 °CIncrease within the range if flow or layer bonding is insufficient
Heated bedNot mandatory; 40 °C optionalTune for the build surface and first layer
Part coolingUp to 100%Reduce for initial layers if adhesion requires it
Layer height0.1-0.3 mmSubject to nozzle and required detail
SpeedPrinter's PLA profileThe manufacturer publishes up to 120 mm/s, but actual flow must be validated

On fast printers, begin with a known PLA profile and increase speed after checking volumetric flow, cooling, bridges and layer bonding. Slightly different colour appearance may occur between areas if speed or flow changes substantially.

Heat resistance and annealing

The Ingeo 3D850 family can be annealed to increase crystallinity. Sakata 3D publishes an 80-90 °C HDT, but this result applies to 100% infill specimens annealed at 110 °C for 15 minutes; it is not the guaranteed service temperature of an as-printed part.

NatureWorks places the glass-transition temperature of Ingeo 3D850 at 55-60 °C. Without a validated process, a part may soften or warp near this range. Annealing can also change dimensions and colour, so test a coupon first when fit or appearance matters.

Storage

Store the spool sealed with desiccant. Popping, bubbles, stringing or a rough surface can indicate moisture; use a drying programme suitable for PLA and for the spool. Do not automatically apply industrial pellet-drying temperatures to finished filament.

3D-printer compatibility

It is compatible with open-filament FDM/FFF printers accepting 1.75 mm filament, reaching 200-220 °C and providing part cooling. With a tuned profile it can be used on HTA3D HPRO 330 and HPRO 400; Bambu Lab A1, P1 and X1; Creality Ender-3, CR-10 and K1; Original Prusa MK3, MK4, MINI, XL and CORE One; and Voron 0.2, Trident or 2.4.

This list does not imply a universal profile or automatic multi-spool-system compatibility. Check spool holder, filament path, sensor, supported dimensions and the printer manufacturer's instructions. On enclosed printers, follow its chamber-ventilation guidance for PLA.

Choose it if

  • You want vivid colours that are easy to identify.
  • You need a Spanish PLA 850 for decoration, cosplay, signs or prototypes.
  • You prefer a low-shrinkage material that is easy to add to a PLA profile.

It is not for you if

  • You require glow-in-the-dark behaviour or a certified UV response.
  • The part will operate continuously near heat sources without thermal validation.
  • The application requires food, medical or guaranteed structural certification.

For other finishes using the same base, choose standard Sakata 3D PLA 850, silky-finish PLA 850 Silk, RE-850 made from PLA850 recovered from the production process or translucent PLA 850 GLASS. For complex support geometry, consider Sakata 3D Easy Off for PLA 850.

Print with suitable general ventilation. The filament is not certified for food-contact or medical applications.
