300 × 300 mm, 220 V, 500 W adhesive flexible silicone heater for bonding beneath a compatible aluminium plate. It is wired with approximately 1 m leads and a 100K NTC sensor using an XH2.54 connector.

Mains voltage: installation requires a qualified person, suitable AC switching, electrical protection, protective earth on the metal plate and an independent thermal cut-out. It does not connect directly to a 12/24 V bed output.

Electrical data

  • Size: 300 × 300 mm.
  • Rating: 220 V AC, 500 W.
  • Calculated at 220 V: 2.27 A and 96.8 Ω.
  • At 230 V and the calculated resistance: approximately 547 W.
  • Sensor: 100K NTC 3950.
  • Weight: approximately 243 g.

Required protection

  • AC SSR or contactor rated for a resistive load with thermal margin.
  • Correct fuse/breaker and residual-current protection.
  • Independent protective earth on the aluminium plate.
  • Non-resettable thermal fuse in contact with the plate and in series with the heater.
  • Mains enclosure, segregation, strain relief and temperature-rated wiring.

The SSR-40DA is a candidate AC switch, but usable current depends on temperature and heatsinking; its 40 A marking is not a design guarantee.

Installation

  1. Verify size, resistance and insulation before bonding.
  2. Bond once to a clean, flat aluminium plate without bubbles.
  3. Never cut, drill, fold or crease the pad.
  4. Fit earth and thermal fuse before power-up.
  5. Enable thermal protection and suitable slow-cycle SSR control.
  6. Heat gradually under supervision and compare multiple points with an independent instrument.

It is for you if

  • You are building a 300 mm bed and can implement mains safety correctly.

It is not for you if

  • You need a heater that plugs into a 24 V board output.
  • You cannot provide earth, thermal fuse and mains protection.
