350 × 350 mm, 220 V, 750 W adhesive silicone heater for large-format 3D-printer beds, wired with approximately 1 m leads and an XH2.54 100K NTC.

Mains voltage: requires professional installation, AC switching, fuse/breaker, RCD, protective earth and an independent thermal fuse. It cannot be driven directly by a 12/24 V bed MOSFET.

Adhesive silicone heater for a large-format 3D-printer bed

Specifications

  • 350 × 350 mm; 220 V AC, 750 W.
  • Calculated at 220 V: 3.41 A and 64.5 Ω.
  • Approximately 821 W at 230 V if resistance remains unchanged.
  • 100K NTC 3950.
  • Approximately 325 g.

Safe installation

  • AC SSR/contactor with genuine margin and suitable cooling.
  • Correct fuse/breaker and RCD.
  • Independent protective earth on the plate.
  • Non-resettable thermal fuse in series near the hottest area.
  • Mains enclosure, segregation, strain relief and rated cable.

A correctly sized and cooled SSR-40DA may control it. Since an SSR can fail closed, the thermal cut-out must interrupt mains independently.

Assembly and firmware

  1. Verify resistance and insulation before bonding.
  2. Bond once to flat, clean aluminium; never cut or drill.
  3. Install earth, thermal fuse and cable strain relief.
  4. Enable thermal runaway protection and slow-cycle SSR-compatible control.
  5. Commission in stages and compare several plate points with an independent instrument.
