Trianglelab Kraken all-metal heatbreak manufactured from titanium alloy for 1.75mm filament. It uses a smooth 7mm cold-side body and a hot-side M6 thread, a geometry intended for heatsinks that secure the heatbreak through a cylindrical bore and a separate lateral retention system.
Trianglelab declares this part compatible with V6 Chimera+ systems. Its nominal overall length is 20.5mm, while the approximately 2mm filament bore keeps PTFE outside the hot zone. Compatibility with any other toolhead must be checked through dimensions, retention method and final nozzle position.

Heatsink and heater-block compatibility
The smooth body is intended for heatsinks with a nominal 7mm bore and an independent mechanism for securing the heatbreak. It can be paired with the Chimera-style aluminium dual heatsink for two V6 hotends, provided that each bore, lateral retention system and final nozzle height are checked.
The M6 end can be used with blocks sharing the required thread and sealing geometry, such as the V6 heater block for a thermistor, the V6 block for 3mm encapsulated sensors or the Brass V6 block for 3mm sensors.
It is not directly interchangeable with an M7 heatbreak. For a heatsink using a female M7 thread, choose the M6/M7 V6 titanium heatbreak.
The V6, Kraken or Chimera name alone does not guarantee fit. Before ordering, check the 20.5mm length, smooth 7mm bore interface, retention method, M6 thread and nozzle sealing surface.
Single-piece titanium or bimetal heatbreak
This version is manufactured entirely from titanium alloy. It helps limit heat transfer from the block to the heatsink and contains no joint between dissimilar materials.
As an alternative, the M6/Ø7mm bimetal heatbreak for dual hotends combines a titanium thermal bridge with a copper cold section that transfers residual heat into the heatsink. Selection depends on the toolhead, cooling, materials and settings; neither option eliminates every heat-creep or retraction issue by itself.
Installation and sealing
- Insert the smooth 7mm body into the heatsink bore and secure it with its retention system without deforming the heatbreak.
- Thread the M6 end into a compatible heater block.
- Install the nozzle so that its rear face seals against the heatbreak inside the block. A small gap should remain between the nozzle hex and the block.
- Hold the heater block during tightening to avoid transmitting torque to the thermal neck.
- Perform final hot tightening according to the procedure and limits of the installed block, nozzle and temperature sensor.
- Maintain continuous, even heatsink cooling while either hotend is hot.
On a dual toolhead, both nozzles must be aligned so they are parallel and set to the correct height. An inactive nozzle positioned too low can rub against the print or drag deposited material.
After installation, review extrusion and retraction, check nozzle height and Z offset again, and retune thermal control if hotend response has changed. The heatbreak itself requires no dedicated parameter in Marlin, Klipper or RepRapFirmware; dual-extruder configuration belongs to the complete machine.

- Your heatsink uses an M7 thread instead of a smooth bore.
- You need a different heatbreak length or a manufacturer-specific mounting system.
- You need a drop-in replacement for a particular printer without first comparing every relevant dimension.
