ESP-01 ESP8266 WiFi Module with USB-to-Serial Interface and Integrated Regulator
ESP8266-based WiFi module for adding wireless connectivity to electronics, automation and control projects. It integrates a CH340G USB-to-serial converter, an LDO regulator and a selector for UART communication or programming mode.
This is a development board that requires configuration and integration with the host system. It should not be considered a universal plug-and-play accessory for every 3D printer: compatibility depends on a suitable UART, compatible electrical levels and firmware prepared to use the module.

Operating modes
The integrated selector lets you choose between UART mode for serial communication and debugging, and PROG mode for programming the module. Check the pinout and the host supply voltage before connecting the board.
Although the board is powered with 4.5-5.5 V, the ESP8266 signals operate at 3.3 V. Do not connect 5 V signals directly to its inputs without confirming that the host circuit and level shifting are suitable.
Use with 3D printers
It can be used in projects based on boards compatible with the module and firmware prepared for WiFi connectivity, such as certain SKR PRO 1.1 setups. Mentioning a specific board does not replace checking the wiring, selected UART, installed firmware and project configuration.
It can also be used with ESP3D when the corresponding firmware is installed and configured and the module is integrated with the printer or controller. The procedure may vary according to the ESP3D version and connected equipment.
