10 × 10mm Closed Nylon Cable Drag Chain – 1m Length

Nylon cable drag chain for organising, guiding and protecting wiring on moving axes in 3D printers, CNC machines and automated equipment. It has a nominal internal cross-section of 10 × 10mm and an approximate length of 1 metre.

This version offers more capacity than the 7 × 7mm size while retaining a compact format. Its closed links keep conductors contained during movement, although the cables must be fed through from one end before installation.

Selecting the chain

The 10 × 10mm size describes the nominal internal space. Measure both the cable bundle and any connectors that must pass through the chain. A connector may be too large even when its wires fit inside.

Keep part of the internal section free. Tightly packed cables experience more friction, terminal strain and fatigue during repeated movement.

The bend radius is not specified in the product information. Before designing the supports, physically check the space occupied by the curved chain and make sure that every cable can follow that path.

Installation

• Feed the cables through before permanently mounting the chain.
• Avoid crossings, twisting and connectors inside the moving section.
• Leave sufficient slack without creating loops that could snag.
• Align the mounting points with the direction of travel.
• Manually move the axis through its complete range to check for tension or collisions.
• Provide strain relief at both ends.
• Periodically inspect the wiring, links and mounting points.
