10 × 10mm Openable Nylon Cable Drag Chain – 1m Length

Nylon cable drag chain with a nominal internal cross-section of 10 × 10mm and openable links. Each cover can be opened to insert, remove or reorganise wiring without feeding it through from one end.

This construction simplifies installation in 3D printers, CNC machines and equipment that is already wired. It also makes future repairs and upgrades easier. The chain is approximately 1 metre long and includes integrated mounting ends.

Compatibility and capacity

The 10 × 10mm measurement refers to the nominal internal space. Connectors do not need to pass through the links, but they must fit inside the section or remain outside the moving part of the chain.

Do not completely fill the interior. Leave enough room for the cables to move slightly during bending without being trapped by the covers.

Before installation, check the required length, space occupied by the curved chain, mounting-point position and minimum bend radius of every cable.

Installation recommendations

• Open the covers with a suitable tool without forcing their hinges or clips.
• Arrange the cables parallel and without twisting.
• Make sure that no cover presses against or pinches the insulation.
• Close every link and confirm that it is locked.
• Align the mounting ends with the direction of travel.
• Manually test the complete movement before operating the machine.
• Provide strain relief at both ends.

The chain controls the cable path, but the wiring must also be suitable for repeated flexing. Rigid conductors or cables with a large minimum bend radius may fail even when they physically fit.
