10 × 15mm Openable Nylon Cable Drag Chain – 1m Length

Nylon cable drag chain with a nominal internal cross-section of 10 × 15mm, an approximate length of 1 metre and openable links. It offers more capacity than the 7 × 7 and 10 × 10mm variants for larger cable bundles.

Its covers can be opened individually, allowing wires with pre-fitted connectors to be installed, additional cables to be added or the interior to be accessed during maintenance without dismantling the complete chain.

Selecting the size

The 10 × 15mm measurement represents the nominal internal cross-section. It does not indicate the outside dimensions or the total space occupied when the chain is curved.

This version is suitable when a 10 × 10mm chain leaves too little free space, but a larger chain also increases the volume and moving mass. On high-speed printers, choose the smallest chain that can accommodate the wiring with sufficient clearance.

Connectors can be inserted by opening the covers, but they should not remain in a continuously bending section. Whenever possible, position them outside the moving part.

Installation recommendations

• Arrange the cables parallel and without crossings.
• When possible, separate sensitive signals from power conductors.
• Make sure that the covers do not pinch the insulation.
• Leave room for internal movement without creating loops.
• Correctly align and secure both mounting ends.
• Manually test the complete axis travel.
• Provide strain relief at the entry and exit points.
• Periodically inspect the covers, joints, mounts and cables.

No nominal bend radius is specified for this chain. The support design should be checked against the actual part and must also respect the minimum bend radius required by every installed cable or tube.
