Description
Anodised aluminium structural profile with a nominal 30 × 60 mm cross-section and a length of 1 metre. Its double section provides greater directional stiffness than a 3030 profile, making it suitable for bases, uprights, gantries and cross-members subjected to higher loads.
It has six open slots: one on each 30 mm side and two on each 60 mm side. This arrangement allows accessories and reinforcements to be installed in different orientations.
Key features
- Nominal series: 3060.
- Family: European 30-series profile.
- External cross-section: 30 × 60 mm.
- Length: 1 m.
- Open slots: 6.
- Nominal slot opening: approximately 8 mm.
- Visible centre bores: approximately 6.9 mm.
- Material: anodised aluminium.
- Double section for increased stiffness in one direction.
Typical applications
- Bases and cross-members for CNC machines.
- Rigid frames for large-format 3D printers.
- Gantries and uprights for machinery.
- Tables and automation systems.
- Workshop enclosures and structures.
Compatibility
Compatible with the 30-series nuts, brackets, plates, connectors and other accessories sold by HTA3D. Compatibility is checked with each stock delivery.
It can be combined with 30 mm sliding nuts with M3, M4, M5 or M6 threads, HTA3D accessories specified for 3030 profiles and the dedicated 3060 corner bracket.
It shares its accessory family with our 3030 structural profile.
A 30 × 60 mm section may also be described as 6030 depending on its orientation. Voron Switchwire uses 6030 and 3030 extrusions with specific lengths and machining. When using this profile in that or another machine, its BOM, lengths, holes and required threads must be checked.
Compatibility with HTA3D 30-series accessories is verified. Equivalence with profiles or accessories from other manufacturers must be checked separately.
Machining and assembly
- Orient the 60 mm dimension towards the direction requiring greater stiffness.
- Make square cuts and remove burrs.
- Do not consider the centre bores threaded without prior machining.
- Square the frame before final tightening.
- Tighten the different joints progressively.
- Size the structure according to its loads, support distances and joint type.
